Media relations case study:

National Ethical Investment Week

For several years, ESG Communications has worked with the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) to deliver the PR campaign behind National Ethical Investment Week (NEIW) in the UK. The campaign brings together a wide range of investors to promote all types of responsible and ethical investment.

Our experience in the sector means we’re able to bring together the many different players, messages, statistics and case studies that make up the campaign.

In 2012, ESG Communications ran a wide-ranging media campaign that encompassed both print, broadcast and social media. Our efforts resulted in over a hundred media hits in target publications, over 90% of which pulled through the key messages of the campaign.

Outlets that featured NEIW 2012 included The Financial Times, The Guardian, The Times, Telegraph, Mail on Sunday and The Sun. These newspapers alone reach a collective audience of around six million readers.

National Ethical Investment Week was also featured by broadcasters including the BBC and Sky News and was discussed in influential trade press such as Investors Chronicle and IPE magazine.

Penny Shepherd MBE , the Chief Executive of UKSIF who co-ordinates the Week said,

“ESG Communications ran a brilliant campaign for us and have played a massive part in the success of National Ethical Investment Week to date.”
