Elliot Frankal, Director 

Elliot is a public relations professional and former Head of Communications for the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. He has watched the growth of the responsible investment industry over recent years and worked with clients such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, UNEP Finance Initiative and UK Trade and Investment.

Elliot previously worked as a researcher and speechwriter in the British House of Commons and was senior consultant for a political PR firm in London, during which time he was published in newspapers including The Guardian, Observer and Financial Times.

Caroline Barraclough, Senior Consultant
Caroline has over ten years experience in financial and sustainability communications. She previously led marketing and communications activity at sustainable investment specialists WHEB, and before that was Marketing Manager at Impax Asset Management. She has worked with the Carbon Tracker Initiative and Insight Investment and has a First Class Honours degree from Oxford University. Caroline is also a qualified yoga teacher.

Conor Quinn, Senior Account Director
Conor is a research communications specialist with expertise in communications strategy, editorial, digital content and media relations. Prior to joining ESG Communications he was communications manager at the European Council on Foreign Relations and Chatham House. His work on climate policy began in 2013 at the Royal Society of Arts. He holds an MSc in international political economy and development from the University of Birmingham.

Mike Weber, Account Executive
Mike is an experienced writer and communications professional. Previously he worked for NewsBase covering developments in the renewable energy sector in Africa. He has also served as an editor for international news networks in Russia, China and South Korea. Mike has also worked with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.

Miranda Barham, Associate Consultant 
Miranda has over 15 years of experience in marketing, communications and has worked with institutional investment managers, service providers and not-for-profits. She has held senior positions in PR agencies in both London and Hong Kong and has worked in-house with a major European energy exchange.

Adam Garfunkel, Associate
Adam has 15 years experience working as a consultant and writer in corporate sustainability reporting and responsible investment. He has worked with the likes of the adidas Group, Calvert plc, United Nations Environment Programme, The Body Shop, Land Securities and General Motors. Adam previously worked at a niche ethical design and communications agency called C21 until it was sold in 2002. Since then, Adam has worked for himself and with many leading design and PR agencies. Adam holds an MSc in the Public Understanding of Environmental Change from UCL.

Mark Nicholls, Associate

Mark is a consultant and journalist specialising in environmental finance, responsible investment, ESG disclosure, carbon markets and low-carbon business and finance. He was the co-founder and editor of Environmental Finance magazine from 1999 to 2013. He has written for the Guardian, Responsible Investor, Scientific American and Environmental Finance, among others.


Sherry Design, Associate designers

Our designers have over 18 years experience in visual communication and brand development. They have worked with the likes of The FA Premier League, UNPRI, Orange, BP and the Arts Council England.

Fearghal Corbett, Associate designer

Fearghal has been working in communications design for over ten years, including three years in BBC Design & Publications. He works across branding, print and the web, and puts emphasis on using design to communicate in clear and compelling ways. 

James Brown, Associate digital design

James is our web guru and a big believer in solving problems with better design. In digital he's worked in many roles - as a project manager, art director, consultant and technical director - for the British Library, digital agencies Webstars and PublicZone, and other small groups in London and York, where he grew up. He enjoys applying his social psychology degree in a visual context.
