Elliot is a public relations professional and former Head of Communications for the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. He has watched the growth of the responsible investment industry over his career and provided communications advice to major financial institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and CalPERS, government departments, the UN and FTSE100 companies.

Elliot previously worked as a researcher and speechwriter in the British House of Commons and was senior consultant for a political PR firm in London, during which time he was published in newspapers including The Guardian and Financial Times.
